We are pleased to announce that the clergy and lay leaders of Central Reform Temple and Emmanuel Episcopal Church have recently signed a spiritual Covenant, a declaration of our commitment to our shared life together at 15 Newbury Street. This Statement embraces our principles and commitments that have come out of our 15 years of sharing our spiritual home, and nurturing the ever-deepening relationship between our two communities.
CRT Honored at Episcopal Diocese Convention
The Eucharist Service of the Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, hosted at Emmanuel Church on November 4. It was a great honor for both the Church and for us of Central Reform Temple to welcome almost 1000 clergy and lay leaders from all over the Commonwealth to our shared home. There was great interest in our partnership, and particularly in the placement of our Holy Ark so prominently in the Sanctuary. A number of delegates stopped before the Ark to see the Torah Scrolls, many pausing in prayer. Bishop Alan Gates publicly recognized and thanked the Rev. Pamela Werntz for Emmanuel’s hospitality-warmly paying tribute to our new Covenant Affirmation of our 15 year relationship.
