A Blessing for Our Earth that It May Be Sustained We have inherited a habitable planet for our lives and for those lives that follow us, for all types of creatures to thrive and to flourish, and with a responsibility to be Shomrei Adamah, preservers of our sacred place and preservers of the planet and its creation. We need to reflect daily on the gifts we have received and to avoid the tragedy of the destroyed world of Noah. On this day of Sukkot, let us bring to mind our sister the earth, our neighbors in endangered environments, and all living beings sharing this fragile earth with us. Let us all work on our environment this year and all years to come. And let us say Amen. |
Following the morning service at Emmanuel Church the afternoon program began, "Climate Change and Electric Power", presented by Gina Copland-Newfield, Managing Director at Sunstone Strategies. After the presentation a prayer was offered in the Sukkah by Jennifer Caplan from Central Reform Temple of Boston. |
On Monday, October 21, Audrey Schulman, co-founder of HEET discussed current projects and potential.
